    Farmhand is a vertical SaaS platform and AI-enabled virtual assistant specially trained to help local farmers market, manage and grow their business. Farmhand empowers the ~2 Million Small/Medium Sized Independent Farmers in the United States with the technology and services to effectively run their businesses and create a sustainable, secure food supply.

    Our team is made up of farmers, marketers, and technology experts who understand the unique challenges that independent farmers face and are committed to helping them overcome those obstacles.

    We’re growing quickly, and are looking for a dynamic, farmer-focused Account Executive to collaborate closely with the CEO on developing a strategic blueprint for enhancing pipeline development and expansion. The ideal candidate is an energetic self-starter eager to make a meaningful difference in the lives of farmers and the broader food system. This is an exciting role for someone who wants to be at a startup on the vanguard of applying AI and Technology to help real people and businesses.

    Position is 100% remote, but candidates must be based in Midwest near the Tri-Border (MI, IN, OH) or Northeast (NY, MA, PA) for monthly travel

    Key Responsibilities:

    Build Farmhand’s customer base in the small/mid-market through cold-call, email, and “boots on the ground” outreach
    Lead product demos and presentations for farmers (some travel required)
    Actively manage your pipeline while constantly adding new opportunities to maintain and surpass aggressive first-year goals (closing 2 accounts/week)
    Collaborate with fellow AEs and CEO on new strategies and initiatives
    Partner with marketing to co-create sales scripts and assets
    Drive a consultative sales approach by focusing on problem statements and solution selling
    Welcome new customers to Farmhand’s platform through a high-touch onboarding and ongoing engagement/upsells


    1 – 2 years of closing experience in SaaS, agriculture and/or related experience
    Very strong communication and interpersonal skills with a heightened sensitivity to the issues farmers face
    Proven experience selling to farm/farmer personas
    Preference given to candidates with experience in farming and a value system aligned to our mission of supporting local farms
    Interest in AI, Technology, and Process Optimization
    Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment
    Ability to travel to local farms weekly for in-person meetings and demos as needed

    Required Skills:

    Self-starter with a problem-solving mindset, bias toward action and strong communication skills
    Curious and willing to learn
    Passionate about farming and local agriculture
    A farmer focus and a commitment to farmer satisfaction
    Familiarity with CRM/equivalent sales logging software
    Experience with B2B/SMB customers a big plus

    Salary: $50,000.00 + uncapped commission ($50K annual target) + equity
