Digital Content Creator

    Our client is looking for a Digital Content Creator to report into the digital team and work closely with the brand newsroom to create engaging and relevant content across various digital platforms and channels for both, internal and external audiences.

    This is a specialist role that will support the brand journalists and other digital channel stakeholders in the creation of articles for brand newsroom and other channels deliverables and work directly with the journalists to create the content needed for each brand newsroom client-partner. The type of assignments will vary including the creation of videos, charts, infographics, photography (and the sourcing of stock photography), illustrations (and the sourcing of illustrations), and animations for articles, social posts, websites, and newsletters. The ideal candidate is passionate about storytelling, has a strong understanding of digital trends, and possesses excellent writing and multimedia skills.


    Content Development

    Create compelling and shareable content for digital platforms, including but not limited to blogs, social media, videos, infographics, and other multimedia formats. Conduct thorough research to ensure the accuracy and relevance of content. Collaborate with journalists, the Executive Creative Director, and cross-functional teams to gather information and insights for content creation.

    Social Media Management

    Develop and execute social media content calendars to maintain a consistent brand voice and engage with the target audience. Monitor social media trends and industry news to identify opportunities for timely and relevant content.

    Multimedia Production

    Produce visually appealing and engaging multimedia content, such as videos, photography, animations, and graphics. Edit and optimize multimedia content for various digital platforms.

    SEO Optimization

    Incorporate SEO best practices into content creation to enhance visibility and reach. Stay informed about SEO trends and algorithm changes to adapt content strategies accordingly.

    Content Analytics

    Utilize analytics tools to measure the performance of content across different platforms. Analyze data and insights to make data-driven decisions for optimizing content strategies.

    Brand Consistency

    Ensure consistency in brand messaging and style across all content channels. Collaborate with the creative team to maintain visual brand consistency.

    Team Collaboration and Leadership

    Foster effective collaboration among team members, ensuring clear communication and efficient coordination. Be proactive, professional, nimble, and resourceful to provide the highest level of service to clients. Inspire the team with new visual communication strategies to reach audiences.


    Experience level: Experienced Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field. 2-5 years of experience as a Content Creator or a similar role. Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of content types and styles. Oil and gas or energy background a plus. In-depth knowledge of content creation tools, multimedia software, and social media platforms. Creative and innovative mindset. Passion for staying up to date with industry trends and digital innovations. Superior written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of SEO best practices. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Attention to detail, a keen eye for aesthetics with a commitment to quality. Able to apply strategic thinking to all business challenges and opportunities. Familiarity with copyright laws and intellectual property rights related to online content. Experience with content creation within the corporate environment. Able to follow established processes. Possess the technical knowledge and collaborative and problem-solving skills necessary to translate abstract concepts into effective deliverables. Able to collaborate effectively and professionally with peers, clients, and multi-disciplinary teams.

    Compensation Range: $35 – 45 per hour/ W2
